![]() 2006 Kentucky National Show & Sale The 2006 Kentucky National Show and Sale was held in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 6. A large number of no-shows limited the lineup to 28 lots. However, the quality was high as they averaged $2,045. Dutch Mills JB Barb was the high seller, bringing a final bid of $7,400 from John and Bonnie Ayars and Dr. Kenny Manion of Mechanicsburg, Ohio. This Sr. Two-Year-Old daughter of Royal Acres Enhancer JB sold due in June and is backed by four Very Good dams. She was bred by Keith Young of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, and consigned by Trish and Caleb Nicley and Megan Sexton of Lebanon, Indiana. Fish Creek Icy Cube Precious, the Grand Champion of the show portion of the event, sold for $3,800 to Lindsey Smith of Smyrna, Tennessee. This Winter Heifer Calf is sired by a full brother to Spring Walk Icy Chiller-ET. She was consigned by Fish Creek Guernseys of Pleasant Lake, Indiana. The sale was managed by Guernsey Marketing Service and the Kentucky Guernsey Breeders’ Association and sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Lynn Lee served as auctioneer. Seth Johnson read pedigrees and Tom Smith and Barney and Bryan Hornback took bids from the sizable crowd.
