Kentucky National Show & Sale Show - Thursday , April 8, 2005 - 7 pm Sale - Friday, April 9, 2005 - 9 am Louisville, Kentucky Excitement returned to the Kentucky National Show and Sale on April 8 in Louisville, Kentucky, with an impressive line-up of correct and fancy individuals offered for sale. Thirty-One live lots averaged $2,326 with seven embryos averaging $479 each. The top seller of the sale at $7,600 was a dry four-year-old due in May for the summer and fall shows. Jastes Mole Hill Tiny Toro was the HM Jr. All-American Jr. Two-Year-Old in 2003, and was ready to return to the tanbark in 2005. Toro is sired by an Option son and is out of a Jensgolden Victory Hunter dam that was HM All-American Sr. Yearling in 1999. Scored VG-87, Toro made a record over 18,000M at 1-11. She was consigned by David & J. Ellis Croshaw and Stuart Berryman of Parksville, Kentucky, and was purchased by Paul Nicely and Family of Lebanon, Indiana. The O’Malley family of Gilman, Wisconsin, were contending bidders on the top seller. Selling for $5,300 was a December 2004, daughter of Lantz Farm Enhancer Vilter-ET consigned by Randy Knapp and Family of Epworth, Iowa. Out of a Loral dam and ready to show among the best, she was purchased by Walnut Corner Farm of Bismark, Illinois. The 2004 Res. All-American Int. Calf crossed the sale ring and was purchased by Kimmie Khasal of Taylorsville, Kentucky, for $4,600. With two full sisters previously nominated All-American, Breezy Valley Jamboree-ET came with a pedigree rich in show ring success. Two full sisters had previously been nominated All-American, including the two-time All-American Breezy Valley Nomination-ET. She is sired by Four Winds Magicman-ET and was consigned by Kristin Garwood of Mauckport, Indiana. The sale was managed by Guernsey Marketing Service and the Kentucky Guernsey Breeders’ Association and was sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Lynn Lee of Smyrna, Tennessee, called the sale with announcements made by Seth Johnson. Neal Smith of Tennessee and Tom Smith and Barney Hornback of Kentucky took bids. David Croshaw and Dale Chupp assisted with sale selections. Joann Berryman provided a delicious breakfast to those arriving hungry for the early morning sale.
