BUYER & PRICE LIST

The High Selling Animal - Lot 52 Boehles Aaron Bliss

Second High Seller - Lot 33 Dix Lee Spider Nik-Twin

Third High Seller - Lot 45 Springer Dairy Tiller Nicnac

The sale averaged $2,560 on 43 lots. There was a good crowd on hand and they obviously came to buy fancy show calves. The sale lineup - top to bottom - was perhaps the best ever assembled for this sale series.

The top seller at $6,400 was an Aaron Fall Calf from a Banger dam. She was consigned by Nancy Sack of Baldwin City, Kansas, and purchased by Walnut Corner Farm of Bismarck, Illinois.

The second high seller was a Spider Summer Yearling from a VG-88 Ron daughter, then a VG-85 Logic with 24,000M. She was purchased for $5,000 by Lavon Farm of Plano, Texas, and consigned by Dix-Lee Guernseys of Phillipsburg, Missouri.

Third high honors went to a fresh Tiller Sr. 2-Year-Old for 2009 consigned by Spring Dairy of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She was purchased for $4,300 by Doug Sims of Laurens, South Carolina.

Nearly every animal was hand picked by Dale and Stanley Chupp. The sale was managed by the Oklahoma and Missouri GBA's. Stanley Chupp was the auctioneer and Dave Cochard made pedigree announcements. Bob Griggs and Dale Chupp took bids from the crowd. Maria and Cindy Chupp clerked the sale. The sale was hosted on the beautiful campus of the College of the Ozarks. Students in the Animal Science department worked alongside the fitting crew from Orion Cattle Services. A donation was made by the sale managers to a scholarship fund in memory of longtime C of O dairy manager Tom Smith, who passed away last year but was instrumental in making this sale possible and in adding Guernseys to the C of O herd.
