2010 Ozark Jubilee Sale Saturday, May 15 Branson, Missouri Managed by Oklahoma & Missouri GBA Hosted by The College of the Ozarks A fantastic lineup greeted the crowd at the 2010 Ozark Jubilee Sale on May 15 in Branson, Missouri. As always, the sale was hosted on the beautiful campus of the College of the Ozarks. The students and farm staff were a great help throughout the week and the school was an enthusiastic bidder at the sale, adding two new ones to their small Guernsey herd. 44 females averaged $2,161. The top seller of the day was an added consignment from Chupp Farms of Inola, Oklahoma. A Sr. 3-Year-Old fresh last fall, Moens Gibson Robin is a daughter of Rolling Prairie E Gibson from a VG-81 dam. She looked the part of a tanbark champion and sold for $5,000 to Whalen, Meyer and Erdman of Chenoa, Illinois. Land of Living Farm of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, was the contending bidder. Second high honors went to Wagners A Mentor Alissa, a Mentor Sr. 2-Year-Old that was 2nd Fall Yearling in Milk at the NGS-Louisville in 2009. She is out of a JB dam from Terphill Dulsty Amanda, the 2000 All-American Sr. 2-Year-Old. She was consigned by Taylor Wagner of Marissa, Illinois, and purchsed for $4,400 by Tyler, Justin and Paige Chupp of Inola, Oklahoma. Rounding out the top sellers was a Mar Ral Tiller Mission bred heifer from an EX-91 Vigilant with over 23,000M, 1,100F and 800P. The next dam was a VG Poker with over 100,000M lifetime. She was consigned by Dr. John Mozier of Lousburg, Kansas, and purchased by John and Bonnie Ayars of Mechanicsburg, OH. The sale was managed by the OK and MO GBA. The All-Star sale staff included Stand Chupp wielding the gavel, Gary Estes making pedigree announcements (for the first time in his long auction career), Dale Chupp and Bob Griggs taking bids and Maria and Cindy Chupp at the clerks table.
