2007 Wisconsin Video Calf Sale Friday, March 30 Menomonie, Wisconsin 7:30 pm Held in Menomonie, Wisconsin on March 20, the 2007 edition of the Wisconsin Video Calf Sale averaged $1,854 on 20 calves. 21 embryos, sold in four lots, averaged $429 per embryo. In a format unique to this sale, each calf is videoed, along with other family members. The DVD or video and a catalog are then sent to prospective buyers all over the country. The video is shown during the sale while the calves themselves never leave home until their new owner picks them up within 30 days of the sale. Topping the sale was Sunny MEad Holiday Starlet, an October 2006 daughter of Rozelyn Glaciers Holiday. Her dam is a young daughter of Myown Poker Bingo with a yield deviation over herdmates of +2,000M. The next dam was a VG-83 Rozelyn Jay Greg daughter with nearlu 900F and 650P. The calf was consigned by David Bandli of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and was purchased for $2,900 by Gene Cross of Sherburn, Minnesota. The secon high seller was a granddaughter of the current World Record Holder for milk, Breezy Point P Racer, EX-93. She is a September 2006 daughter of Coulee Crest Luxury Spider-ET out of a D-77 Rozelyn Enhancer Jules-ET daughter of Racer. The dam has over 1,300F and 900P as a two-year-old. She was consigned by Jon Lantz of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, and purchased for $2,350 by Brian, Suzanne and Brenden Honebrink, of Belle Plain, Minnesota. Paul Buekema of Wisconsin was the auctioneer while Darrel Clark made the announcements. Vic Voigt, Duane Schuler and Randy Peterson took bids from the large crowd.
