Fees for use

  • Yearly access: $25

  • Pedigrees: $5 billed quarterly

  • Appraisal reports: free (for user's herd only)

  • TPE members: free access and $4 pedigrees

  • Credit card must be on file for all users

Directions for use of the Online Guernsey Pedigree Search

Before using the online system, you must request a login by either contacting staff or clicking "Request an Account" above.

  1. Access the portal by clicking the "Online Pedigree Access Portal" button above (or save the portal as a bookmark on your web browser).

  2. Log in by typing in your Account Number and Password into the appropriate lines. On the Check Number line, type AGA. Click "login" to begin.

  3. Along the left hand side of the screen, you will see several buttons that navigate the site. To look up an animal, click "Find Animal."

  4. Look up the animal or animals you are interested in by searching: name or partial name, registration number, tattoo, ear tag, date of birth, sire registration number, dam registration number, owner number, or breeder number. Type the identifier(s) you wish to use and click "find" to search.

  5. If more than one animal fits your search criteria, you will be given a list to choose from. On the left hand side, click "find" to select one animal to view.

  6. If you want to try a new search, click "clear" at the top of the page. Note that to clear a list, you must choose one animal first, then click "clear."

  7. From the animal page, you can run a pedigree by clicking "Create Pedigree" on the left hand side. This takes you to a new screen. You can click "run" to create the pedigree. You will be charged for the pedigree as soon as you click "run." If you choose against running the pedigree, click "Find Animal" to be returned to the previous screen. 

  8. To see all the pedigrees you have run in the current quarter, click "Order Header" and then "Order Detail." Click on the animal's name to see the pedigree. Pedigrees will disappear at the end of the quarter, so either print or download those you wish to save.

Instructions for creating an appraisal report

  1. Log in to the account as described in steps 1 & 2 above.

  2. From the home screen, click "Appraisal Report" on the left hand side.

  3. Check to make sure the DHI Herd Number is correct. If your herd is not on test, we have created a fake code for you. You may only run appraisal reports for your herd. 

  4. Click "find" to run a list of reports. Note that these reports only extend back approximately 10-15 years.

  5. Click "report" next to one of the dates your herd has classified. Clicking any of these will bring you to a new list of all appraisals. Click on the date you wish to view. All appraisal reports are free.

  6. Click "Home" to return to the home screen at any time.

Account management

  • All users start with the same password. We strongly encourage you to change this password by contacting staff. Contacting staff is the only way to change your password. AGA reserves the right to know all user passwords for billing and monitoring purposes.

  • All users are required to sign a confidentiality agreement preventing them from sharing information outside their immediate family or business. This is done by the online form or will be mailed to the user upon request. If a user is found in violation, the user's password will immediately be changed and further action could be taken depending on the severity of the violation. 

  • Users must contact staff to cancel their subscription. The $25 annual fee is billed at the time of signup and will not be refunded. Access will remain until the end of the quarter in which cancellation was requested.

  • Users with free TPE accounts must have paid their TPE in full or make their monthly payments in a timely fashion, otherwise their account will be cancelled.

  • A credit card is required to be on file for billing purposes. All pedigree fees will be charged to the card on a quarterly basis. If a card is declined, an invoice will be sent requesting immediate payment and the account will be suspended until the payment method is rectified.
